2 weeks left...

Till we move! I can't believe it. I'm packing and packing but it doesn't feel like its actually happening.

We woke to a BEAUTIFUL morning. Cool and breezy with the sun shining. So I set up the easel outside and let them paint.

5 weeks+
Those big blue eyes~swoon~

Jay is doing better and hasn't needed his pain meds since late Saturday night! He has a follow up appt on Wed, which will give us a better understanding of how long his recovery may be.

I went to a wedding Sat with my in laws. I honestly wasn't too excited about attending without Jay but actually enjoyed myself. Eliza was a dream basically slept the whole time in the sling! As I was eating a peice of cake drinking a cup of decaf coffee I realized I needed to find some more wedding to attend!! How wonderful it was to sit around and have your meal served to you. Your place cleared and your water filled up. I've never really seen a wedding quite in that way. Everyone was oohing and ahhing over my sleeping babe. I love when men come up and notice the sling with the baby inside. I woke here at the end to nurse her before we left so she was awake for bit before we left and all the guys were coming up and telling me about their own little one, so cute! The two married guys sitting at the table were so very sweet and asked often if I needed anything, more coffee, a drink from the bar.

Anyone need a date for a wedding this summer? I am available.

Our little fatty....

So our little Miss Eliza is not so little. She is now "lil fatty" Cause she weighs 10 lbs!! At one month old. 75% percentile. Cracks me up. Her height is 75% too! Not sure what Jaden was at this point I'll have to look and see...I do believe she is going to take after him though and she may be out weighing her older sister very soon. Well a year or so anyway.

She is obviously quite healthy and doing so very well. She looked so big next to the one week old that was in there. In comparison Annie looks so tiny in her swim class. I think I forgot to write about that. Jaden and Annie were signed up for swimming lessons the next two weeks. Its Jadens 3rd year, and Annies 1st. She loves it, and is doing quite well. But she just looks so tiny next to the others in her class, and just in general watching her swim with a kickboard as big as herself!

Jay is hanging in, still in lots of pain. But I think hes going struggle more with being couch/bed bound. Hes used to always being on the go. This is gonna be hard, for him and us. So I need some suggestions for things to get for him. To keep him busy. Any good books out there for him to read that you know of? Movies he should see? Games he could play? I'm still working on that checkers set soon hopefully that'll be good for him to play with Jaden. He's going to get bored quickly of just sittin' and sleepin' soon enough.

Leave me some suggestions in the comments. What would you do if you were couch bound?

Sleeping babes and rainy fun...

2 weeks old:

pAfter a long attempt at getting her to fall asleep with no success, she was so very tired and so was I. So I decided to try this she was out like a light in minutes, go figure. They do love to be carried.

As you can see Eliza also loves the warmth and comfort up close next to mama. As do I.

Rainy day Fun:

On a whim the kids decided to venture out into a chilly rainy morning and soak it up. A warm bath soon followed.

Tomorrows weather looks much better back into the 70s sunny and warm!! Thank goodness all this rain makes for long days and difficult moods, mine and theirs.

cramps, contractions and the waiting game...

I've been having cramps and contractions pretty frequently the last couple days. I remember this same thing with Annie. The cramps and contractions for weeks before she was born Although with her it started around 35w, so a little later this time. She was born at 39+3. I'm hoping this one makes her arrival a tad earlier though. Say next weekend.

I talked to the kids last night about the birth and labor. Jaden just kept saying "tell me more, mom!" Annie asked if she could get in the birthing tub with me! Umm I don't think so sweetie. She also keeps talking about teaching the baby to swim in the tub! Too cute. They seem excited about the whole thing.

Today was my last day watching Max. It was fun having him and I am glad I was able to help Kelly and Mike out but, I'm looking forward to spending the next week or two or 4 (ack) resting and nesting!

In other news...we are putting our house on the market mid June so if anyone out there knows anyone who is looking for a great little house send them our way!

I'll leave you with some pictures!

Creating...

Yesterday I did a little crafting! These here cute little tracings are the beginnings of some Jelly bean bags I found here at the purl bee. They are quite easy to make and quite fun too!

Heres all the felt cut out. I need to get some more my color range is lagging.

While I was doing that Jaden took my tracing peice and decided to do a little craft of his own...

He made paper jelly beans and as you see above wrote names on the back of them to give them out to people. They came out so cute!

I have gotten quite a few sewn up when I get the rest I'll post a picture of them. I'm going to put them in the kids Easter baskets. They know they are jelly beans but don't what they are going to turn out to be. FUN!!

and for the fun of it my cute belly at 32.5 weeks! I just had an appt on friday (33.5wks) and all is well! Baby bug is still head down but appears to be posterior. Meaning her back is against my back so her feet and hands are facing my front. Not so good. So I'll be spending lots of time hunched forward and on the ball trying to get her to shift position. In a little over 2 weeks I will be considered full term at The Birth Center! But of course am hoping baby bug waits till mid May to make her entrance. My babes are on the small side as it is don't need them coming too early.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ANNIE!

She's 3 !!! I just can't believe it. Our sweet little Annie is 3 a big girl now. Though still very petite and small. I feel like she just grew into her two year old self not that long ago and now shes 3 and looking tiny again. Ah well, she is healthy and strong and still eating like it may not be there tomorrow! She is such a light in our lives. So sweet and kind, so snuggly and loving. Always laughing at herself. She looks up to her big brother just as I remember doing with mine. Copying his every move, she stands up for herself and lets it be known when she is not happy. She is really starting to come into her own these days more and more. She wanders off just chit chatting away either on a pretend phone the real phone or anything that suits her. She is going to be a great big sister already showing off her mothering skills with Max (the 1 yr old I babysit for)

So today we celebrate Annie because she is 3!

Don't they look like twins in the photo up above? They don't normally look so much a like but for some reason they do in that picture. She is wearing her birthday crown that I made last night. A craft from a book written by this women. My camera battery died after taking this picture so I will get some more up of her as soon as they charge.

the belly and some mud pies

Since the weather has warmed up a bit here the kids have been loving going outside. In doing so they have discovered a new love of Dirt+Water=MUD!! Everyday they can they go out and make dirt cakes and mud pies. They then call me out and sing Happy Birthday to me with cake in hand! They usually need a bath afterwards but I'm ok with that, I'm just glad they are able to spend some extra time outside.

and just because heres a belly shot from today: 30 weeks 2 days!! I think I am about as big as I was with Annie maybe just a bit rounder. 10 weeks left give or take. Any one want to place their bets on whether we'll be having another little one arrive on the 17th?? The countdown is on!
